Annual Confirmation of Beneficial Ownership Information — 2026

We wish to remind you of the annual obligation to confirm the beneficial ownership information recorded for your company or partnership in the Cyprus Beneficial Ownership Register (“BOR”). All companies and other legal entities incorporated or registered under the Cyprus Companies Law, Cap. 113, including European Public Limited Companies (SEs) and partnerships, are required to complete the electronic annual confirmation through the BOR system between 1 October 2026 and 31 December 2026. This requirement applies even where there have been no changes to the beneficial ownership information during the year.

What must be confirmed

Depending on the circumstances of the entity, the confirmation relates to the information held in the BOR concerning:

• its beneficial owner(s);
• its senior management official(s), where applicable; or
• the applicable due-diligence information.

The confirmation should be made only once during the annual confirmation period.

Changes during the confirmation period

If any initial registration, amendment, or other BOR action concerning beneficial owners, senior management officials, or due-diligence information is required during the period from 1 October to 31 December 2026, that action must be completed before the annual confirmation is submitted, and in all cases no later than 31 December 2026. Where a change arises after the annual confirmation has already been completed, a further annual confirmation is not required solely because of that change; however, the applicable separate obligation to update the BOR must still be considered and complied with.

Action required

Please review the beneficial ownership information currently held for your entity and advise us promptly of any changes, including changes in:

• the identity, personal details, residential address, nationality, or identification document details of a beneficial owner;
• the nature or percentage of direct or indirect ownership or control;
• the shareholding or control chain;
• the identity or details of a senior management official; or
• any other information previously filed in the BOR.

If no changes have occurred, the annual confirmation must nevertheless be completed within the above period.
